Czechia expands its electronic toll network. New toll sections on the D3, D35 and D49

From 1 September, three newly built motorway sections in Czechia have been added to the electronic toll system, bringing a total of 17.21 km of routes on the D3, D35 and D49 motorways into the system. Further changes to the electronic toll network are planned for October and November. The changes also affect the existing network of toll roads.

Due to the construction of new interchanges, selected sections of the I/38 and I/43 roads have been divided, while the route and length of some tolled sections of first-class roads have been adjusted, among other things because of changes in the location of signs marking the beginning and end of built-up areas.

Further changes in October and November

From 1 October, the division of the tolled sections of the D6 motorway will change. The adjustment is due to the postponement of the opening of the Ležky–Lubenec section. One month later, on 1 November, the 3.70 km section of the D48 between the Dub and Palačov interchanges will be added to the network of tolled motorways. At the same time, the existing tolled section of the I/48 road between Blahutovice and Palačov will be removed from the electronic toll system.

Once all the planned changes have been implemented, the Czech network of roads subject to electronic toll collection will total 2,918 km, including 1,569 km of motorways.
