Antwerp Ring Road: Deurne exit and E313 connecting roads to close

The biggest disruptions on the Antwerp Ring Road will occur during the first weekend of September. The Deurne entrance in the direction of Ghent and Brussels will be closed, as will the connection from the R1 to the E313 motorway during two overnight periods. Further restrictions are planned for 2/3 and 16/17 September.

The works are related to preparations for the opening of the underground passage leading to the Deurne exit and the Bypass, a temporary motorway running alongside the Ring Road.

Closure dates and diversions
• Night of 2 - 3 September, from 1:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.: the Deurne exit will be closed. The diversion will be via the Merksem exit.
• Night of 4 - 5 September, from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., and night of 5 - 6 September, from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m.: the connection from the R1 in the direction of Ghent and Brussels to the E313 motorway will be closed. The diversion will be via the Berchem interchange.
• From 11:00 p.m. on 4 September until 11:00 a.m. on 6 September: the Deurne entrance in the direction of Ghent and Brussels will also be closed. Traffic will be diverted via the Borgerhout interchange.
• Night of 16 - 17 September, from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.: the connection from the E313 to the Ring Road in the direction of the Netherlands will be closed. The diversion will be via the Berchem interchange.

In addition to the full closures on the R1 in the direction of the Netherlands during selected nights and weekends, fewer traffic lanes will also be available periodically.
