Slovenia is closing the A1 for three nights. Drivers face detours

Three nighttime closures are planned on Slovenia’s A1 motorway between Maribor and Ljubljana: from 26 to 27 August, from 27 to 28 August, and from 28 to 29 August. Each closure will run from 22:00 to 05:00, with different sections and directions of the motorway being closed on each night.

According to Slovenia’s road information centre PROMET.SI, the closures are due to nighttime works on the A1 motorway. Traffic will be diverted onto parallel regional roads.

A1 closure dates:
• 26/27 August, 22:00–05:00 – Vransko–Blagovica, direction Ljubljana,
• 27/28 August, 22:00–05:00 – Blagovica–Vransko, direction Maribor,
• 28/29 August, 22:00–05:00 – Lukovica–Blagovica, direction Maribor
