Denmark introduces the requirement of COVID-19 tests for HGV drivers

The new COVID-19 variant spreading in the UK has prompted the Danish government to impose stricter restrictions on people entering Denmark from the UK.

The Danish government, following in the footsteps of France and the Netherlands, has banned travellers from Great Britain from entering the country at least until February 7. Among categories exempt from the ban are drivers of trucks and vans transporting goods to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential goods in Denmark or the EU. All UK travellers, including professional drivers, are obliged to present a negative COVID-19 test taken no later than 24 hours prior to entry.

Listed below are haulier advice sites where drivers and crew of HGVs, LGVs, coaches and vans can get free COVID-19 tests and border readiness checks before transporting goods to the EU .
