Poland – temporary ban on transport of hazardous goods for vehicles over 12 t GVW
The ban will apply to selected roads and streets in Katowice between 25 Nov and 17 Dec from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The ban has been introduced by the governor of Śląskie province in connection with the organisation of the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, COP24, as well as other satellite events.
The following road sections and streets will be affected:
• national road DK 79 from the junction with national road DK 86 (al. W.Roździeńskiego - Drogowa Trasa Średnicowa) to the intersection of Chorzowska-Stęślickiego-Grundmana streets in Katowice, in both directions, including the tunel under the gen.J.Ziętka roundabout, in both directions).
The proposed diversion for drivers heading for Sosnowiec (DK 86) and Mysłowice (DK 79) in the direction of Chorzów:
• al.Roździeńskiego - ul.Murckowska (DK 86) - A 4 motorway - Bocheńskiego street – Chorzowska street
and in the opposite direction (from Chorzów in the direction of Sosnowiec and Mysłowice):
• Chorzowska Street – Bracka Street – Bocheńskiego Street - A 4 motorway - Murckowska Street (DK 86) – al. Roździeńskiego Street
